They are really good all beef Vienna franks. There is a hot dog cart near the Sports Book and quality hot dogs with your choice of the usual toppings are only $.75 each.
The Sports Book is separate from the Race Book and the ace Book has plenty of video screens at seats. We played craps and Ultimate Texas Holdem and had a great time. Be careful with the $3 odds bet behind the pass line as they only pay in whole dollars and you will only get even money instead of the true odds payout sometimes. They even have a $3 minimum craps table 24/7.
It looks like $5 minimum tables are the norm (just as I like it, getting hard to find $5 tables on the Strip). The tables and slot machines were in great condition and the dealers were pleasant and professional. The casino was laid out nicely and easy to navigate through. The casino was clean and the smoke factor was low. We did not stay in the hotel (stayed at the Palazzo) but wanted to check out the casino. Thought about giving it a try on other visits to Las Vegas but never took the time. My wife and I visited the South Point Hotel and Casino for the first time in June 2011.
